Lit and Comp: (period 3) - students discussed two poems and an accompanying image before reading a third poem and discussing it in small groups.
(period 11) - students learned the difference betwen thick and thin questions. Students read one of three articles and came up with at least one thick question for it. Then they met in groups of three in which everyone had read a different article. Students shared their thoughts and questions. The class then met for a large group discussion.
